This video gives an overview of the first “European Congress for Energy Efficiency and Digital Transition in Buildings”. The congress took place in the BGL BNP PARIBAS building in Luxembourg, a smart and energy-efficient building which uses over 2,000 self-powered sensors and switches based on the EnOcean wireless standard.

The attendees shared multiple programs and case studies of smart commercial and residential buildings and discussed how to make the energy efficiency objectives of the European Union happen. For example, new European Union Directives in 2018 claim the necessity to retrofit all large buildings with energy-saving building automation technology before 2025. How can innovative technology help to realize this?
