What is a Smart Building?

Bati journal TV discussed the question “What is a Smart Building?” at BATIMAT 2015. Emmanuel François, in charge of the Business Development of the EnOcean Alliance in Europe, characterizes a Smart Building as a connected, digitalized system, which is flexible and modular. This means that it needs to be a global vision connecting all building areas including architectural requirements to an integrated, interoperable system combined with different services. It is a principle of unification and sharing.
